To BLUE SCREEN or not ?...help!

Hi,

Just finished shooting an corp IT web presentation. It was meant to be a guy on a white background.
The web designer said the background I have in these test shots:

were fine for him to key out the background to pure white.
Everyone was pleased with the footage - but now I may have to reshoot because the web designer is having trouble keying it out in adobe premier - he said that he tried rotoscoping every frame in photoshop as an alternative but,  for a 5 min presentation, it will take about 6 days of pure rendering & headache, which doesn't justify all that work, for just a small 5 min clip.
So -reshooting blue screen may have to be the next solution

I am thinking, maybe there is a way to key him out in final cut or some other software without - reshooting & hire of equipment etc etc  & also using up valuable time ?

If you can check out those jpg's maybe you can steer me into the right direction

I guess If I have to reshoot - I have to reshoot - so any tips on blue screen or what ever else I have to do to get this project right , would be a godsend.

Cheers
Sorry - I guess this is an fcp /nle 'Q'   as well as a "cinematography" 'Q'

Try after effects first
Your web guy steered you wrong
You steered you wrong
alittle education goes along way.
Before you shoot the whole thing over with a chroma green
or blue do some tests.
Premeire sucks at compositing so use something like
after effects, combustion or ultimatte.
Try after effects first its luma key is pretty good

also your jpgs won't load

Re: To BLUE SCREEN or not ?...help!

Try a luma key, a white background will usually reflect more light, bloom a little, and you should be able to key that level of light reflection in FCP.
