TiVo -> DVD

[aaron_wade]

Would anyone happen to know how I can burn a show from TiVo to DVD? Once it's on DVD, I believe I can turn that into a MPEG and use Compressor to convert to .mov.

The model # of the TiVo is - Samsung SIR4080R

Thanks in advance,

well it depends what you are transferring. if its not copy protected, you could plug a mini dv camcorder into the output line and hit record. I know on my comcast dvr box I can connect it to my computer and record it like that. Search google and you might be able to find some answers.

It'd probably just be easier to get a TV tuner and record shows that way.

I have a wirless network with the tivo hooked up to it...and I can move recorded shows onto my comp and burn them that way.

thats pretty cool that you can access it like a file from the network.
