Anyone good with titles that can give advice?

Here's my advice:

If you don't know what you're doing and don't have any money, pick a good font, kern it out and do white on black.

Otherwise, hire professional help. Actually, I'd suggest that first. It's worth it.

If you need any help, let me know. I've done more than one, they were intended to be simple, but I have a basis. The most recent piece of work (for titles) was in my last short film:

Simple, slightly sliding text with some blurry-in/out which kind of reminds me the opening titles in HEAT:
