Hey guys, heres something I came up with for an educational show I'm working on. I'd like to get some feed back on it. Any critique is welcome.

I believe it is interlaced. I rendered out the comp with lower field render first.

Hey goldenboy--
Personal opinion-- so don't mind me too much.
I'd do something different with the red b/g if I were you. It's pretty attention-grabbing, whereas you want the text to kinda feel like it's sitting on top of it and drawing the attention... at the moment the red background is really fighting for the eye compositionally speaking. Plus, I don't know if this is intended for NTSC or not, but if that's the case it could make it even more insane as it bleeds over onto the surrounding stuff.
The text seems good. If it were me I'd tone down the red to something more subdued, then maybe try to spice up the particles with even more stuff. i.e. once the text is out there... then have a lots of fun with a couple layers of particles/effects behind it. Just another layer of something back there to give it that produced look. You could even maybe blur that b/g stuff a bit... so that despite being busy it'll still sit "behind" the crisp text.
...just some random thoughts. I hope they help.

I noticed at the end, when you fade to black, you've ramped the opacity of all the layers from 100% to 0%. While this seems to make sense, in the way AE handles compositing, it's really the wrong way to go about it. Think of it this way: halfway through the transition, each layer is at 50% opacity. This causes an odd transition where everything becomes semi-transparent before fading out. In yours, you can see the black circle showing through the previously opaque foreground text.
When I want to do a simple fade to black, I create a new black layer, then ramp the transarency from 0-100%. That creates a simple linear dissolve, which may or may not be what you want.
When you have to dissolve multiple layers, you pre-compose those layers into a new comp, then ramp the transparency of that new comp. That way, the relative transparency of each layer stays the same, but they all fade as a group. You would do that, for instance, if you wanted the whole text/circle/paticles comp to fade out, while keeping the red in the background. Or, since it's a plain red background, you could create a new red layer and dissolve it up OVER the comp. Always more than one way to skin a cat in AE.
