Hi All,

I have a question regarding to the tiltle that I created in Vegas 7.0. I want the title zoom from small size to the bigger size therefore, I pick the scale slider and the keyframe to scale up the title. everything works fine excepted that in the final DVD when title moving from small to bigger size on the screen not smoothly. They kind of stop and go not linear motion . Did I miss anything or I use the wrong effect ?
Thank you for any advise

Assuming that you are not describing just poor performance, you need to set the smoothness. This can be found under KeyFrame in track motion. Set the smoothness to "0" and that will remove the ease in/out of the motion.

Hi Mark,

Last night I looked at the smoothness set up . It was set at "0" as default. Therefore the problem zoom out of the title still there nothing change. it stops and goes every 1/4 seconds until the last frame.

Are you using track motion to move the title or pan/crop? I recommend you use one or the other. The default smoothness in Vegas 6 is 100, which makes it ease in and out. But if you are getting stuttering, then this is not the issue. Have you tried just rendering a wmv to playback on your PC to see if it plays smoothly there? It could be a playback issue.

Mark,

I am using the scale slider of the text property to make text title from smaller to bigger not track motion nor Pan/crop.

1. You cna never judge from the preview. Do a test render and check out.
2. If i were you. I wouldnt use the vegas text tool at all for motion text. Create a file in photoshop image size = to project frame size. Then render to png format saving with transparency. (whatevers empty in the photoshop frame will end up transparent in the vegas frame.). Use this png in the project along with pan and crop to make it come in from small to full size. Pixels may show when it comes out beyond the frame. If you are doing this and want the text to keep on large till it flys past the camera kinda the use an animated soft blur to cover any pixelation as it bigger in the frame.
