Title Export

I'm trying to get a title from Premiere Pro CS 5.5 into Photoshop. I've tried to use File > Export > Title and Edit in Adobe Photoshop, and both are greyed out. Any ideas on why?

So you can't export a work in progress from Premiere to Photoshop?.. That's a little stupid.

What's a so difficult about Start in Premiere > export to Photoshop > Do corrections and alterations in Photoshop > import back to Premiere updating the original title done in Premiere.

Anyway, I found a work around. Using File > Export > Media

Just have to select the item you want to export via the in and out markers. From there export as a DPX or PNG, and then import into Photoshop.

Its not difficult. If you want to use Photoshop you need files that PS understands. Prtl is not one of them, e.g. .psd is. So start with a .psd either in Premiere or PS. That way you can even maintain the layers.

I do that how? When I make a title I go to the menus at the top of the program and select Title > New Title > Default Still. I have no other options.

What she is saying is if you want a title that can be edited in Photoshop and moved between Premiere and Photoshop, create your title in Photoshop first. The title tool in Premiere is good but like she said PS doesn't understand that file extension. At least with psd files you don't run into the problem you are having.

If you want a simpler work around than that cumbersome method...

Press the Frame Grab button ( Camera Icon under each Monitor)

I would use that if I wanted a frame grab "reference still" to use in PhotoShop or Illustrator...but no other reason in regards to creating a Title.
