nice link.... it's hard to stand back and not get drawn into the fireworks but thats really how to get the best shots. I'll take another stab at it tonight.

The bright flashes in image 3 are the really loud ones!

heres a few from last night. 150,000+ people. Egch. OH, no tripod either... Too many people.

Ya, mine were without a tripod too for the same reason. I mean, I could have set one up space wise, but I didn't want to be obnoxious for folks behind. I hope to do better position wise, tonight. I went waaay out on experimentation last night at a minor display, handheld ... heh-heh ... too much experimentation.

A few that were fun to take. Picnic 'stuff' kept the tripod home as per the wonderful lady in charge. I used my Sony A700 and a 'old' Minolta 70-210 f4
