Tips on sharing editing duties in After Effects?

What's the best way to share editing duties between two people on a project using After Effects CS4? Obviously, I need to make sure we both have the raw video clips needed. What about tips for keeping things organized, saved, sharing etc.? :undecided

Never tried this before, so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

what do you mean by sharing? you mean on person starts then the other picks up where that person left off or someone is in charge of something specific and the other person something else?

One thing i would suggest is to label comps by the person who last touched it. ie Greg_B_roll_comp then jeff made edits he would label it Jeff_B_roll_comp.

If one of you want to experiment, duplicate the orginal comp. that way if you or your partner doesn't like the experiment result, you still have the orginal idea.

decide who does stuff shot by shot and for simplicity try to keep one person working on a continious section of shots.

assemble both parties work in a final comp with both set of work merged in.

Both of you should work off the same initial file with the audio layed out and some markers to show who's got what shots.
