Tips on my installation slider + manfrotto fluid head

Hi,
i put a canon t3i on a Manfrotto 502ah.

I would like to use a slider.

I was wondering if it would be better for me to put the slider on the manfrotto plate or to put it under the manfrotto fluid head.
I find it convenient to remove the camera from the manfrotto plate and put the camera on a cheap ballhead plate.

I was wondering what i could do for best results.

What you would do ?
