Tips on achieving dreamy glow look???

In this music video there is like a dreamy white glow around all through the video is this more of the initial lighting or is there something done in post production also.You can really see it around the 2nd verse when Rockie has on the white jacket. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thank You

Diffusion.
Check out Tiffen diffusion filters, they make about 8 different types and each one comes in about 10 different strengths.
probably easier is Tiffens software package for post. It's call DfX. It's the best diffusion software plugin I've found. It has ALL of their diffusers in it. And it has a ton of other really good image manipulation and color grading Functions.
 
The old school method is using a women's stocking between the lens and camera body. Pro cinematographers even have a particular brand/color they use- a french stocking costing something like $100 a pair. I'm sure digital is preferable IF it gives you the same look.
 
Thank you to all three of you. I been studying from the internet, books, and movies over the past four years and fell in love with cinematography. You guys being such a great help is helping keep me motivated. Thanks again!
