Tips for Smoothing Wedding video with Varizoom Shooter?

Hello,

Shot a wedding recently with my DVX100B and was unhappy with lack of stability in shots. I had expected to be able to be more stationary (using my tripod) than turned out to be realistic, so I was holding the camera for a long time, etc.

To help matters, I bought a Varizoom VZ1 Shooter a few days ago (eBay, good deal). I've worked with it some, but have another wedding coming soon and wanted to see what tips folks might have for making the most of this setup to get smooth wedding shots throughout the ceremony, etc. I'd welcome any pointers to existing threads on this (I've read some, but many don't seem to apply to this kind of stabilizer).

Many thanks,

Id go as far to say youll get just as worn out and unstable using that shoulder mount. Im not sure how, but I would suggest trying to modify it so you can add more weight on the back side. This will give even weight distribution across your shoulder and allow you to operate longer without fatigue.
