Okay so I know I need to dampen a very reflective room to kill transient noise and ambience. So my question is in a room that is all Hardwood floors with sheet rock walls and tight quarters whats the best way to get a good recording on a budget? So ineed to use acoustical panels how do most PRO crews handle audio in live environments?

a good recording of what?

If its dialogue from sit down interviewees then a wired lav is usually the best solution, which give good ambience rejection.

If its a Dance workshop then something like PZM boundary mics may be effective. like what is being discussed in this current thread.

If its music you want a recording of then thats different too.

give some information about what the situation is. Moving curtains, carpet and non-reflective panels etc can be used, if appropriate.

Is it appropriate to hang a curtain around the area you are recoording in, that would be a great help, and carpet underfoot.
