TINY LITTLE WORDS -- A beautiful single-take short film by Whitestone MP.

I think some of the guys from Whitestone Motion Pictures are on this board, but to my knowledge they don't post very often. But yesterday, they released their latest short film, called TINY LITTLE WORDS. TLW is a beautiful, 15-minute film that you'll have to stick around to the end to fully appreciate.

The camera movement distracts at a few points during the middle, but by the end of it, I think Whitestone went beyond the gimmick and made it a technique. And unlike movies like Silent House, there really are no cuts in this film (according to writer/director Brandon McCormick, the finished film was take 6 of 7).

Anyways, if you've got a quarter-hour to spare, check it out.

Wow! that was an exceptional piece of work, The acting & the story were so emotionally engaging but what's the point of the single take?- I can't see that it adds much to the film, I find it distracting.

I don't know what the point of the single-take was. It was a bit distracting, but I was also fascinated by it, and toward the end thought it added something to the film. That was more of the camera movement, though, than the fact that it was a single take.

What a beautiful little film, wonderfully written and marvellous performances. I'm at a bit of a loss as to the reasoning of the single take format though. It didn't add anything to the film as a device, and became a little distracting at times when the camera movement got shaky.

I think the individual compositions that the camera movements switched between would have worked just a well as locked down shots.

A beautiful film and story nonetheless though.
