Tint part of frame

Hey,

Was wondering if someone could suggest a way to tint or color part of a frame. I'm working on trying to get the 'Minority Report' look down, and while it seems relatively easy to tint the frame and adjust settings so that the footage has that 'blue hue' to it, other objects take on that same color. I was hoping there would be a way in post to change the color of certain objects in frame so that they pop out. An example would be a laptop... I would want the buttons on the side to look amber, while everything else in frame should stay that blue look I was describing above. I understand that a lot of that Minority look has to to with lighting and such, but I figured I'd give you guys a shot and see if you had any suggestions. Thanks!

do you have magic bullet? Or just premier?

You can do gradient filters... OR if you're savvy in photoshop, you can make a transparent gradient in there, import the transparent layer to premier and rock out.

Also, with that transparent area, you can do a screen/lighten/darken/multiply blend so the film behaves differently in that area.

I really need your guys' help bad! I have no idea how to do any of this. I have premiere and after effects as well as magic bullet. Any tutorials that you can point me to that would allow me to understand how to do this?

I totally understand how to do that gradient effect now, but unfortunately this still doesn't answer my question (sorry :)). My question was, if I tint the entire frame one color, but want say a particular area to be a certain color, how do I do that in Premiere or AE? Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

:( lol

rotoscoping, or if it's a stationary shot, you can make a gradient-style "filter" via photoshop, and just lay it over the frame. I've never done rotoscoping before, though.

I did this in Liquid Edition by 'selective color'. I can just select objects based on their color by clicking on them with a target tool. Once you have selected the right areas you can simple change everything you want like you normally do on color correction. I'm quite positive something like that should be possible in Adobe Premiere, because this is also the way it can be easily done in Adobe Photoshop.

Hope it helps you somehow. Good luck!
