Timelase Intervalometer - PCLIX Kit?

Hi - new here, and not sure this is the right place for this post - I'm looking for a good (working, and cost-smart) intervalometer for triggering timelapse sequences on a Canon 5D MKII. I've seen a couple good reviews for PCLIX - wondering if anyone here has had good (or bad) experiences with it - do you recommend this, or if not - what do you use?

So - no one here uses a hardware control? You're all magic lantern users?

What advantages do you see to a hardware solution?

I have used the Canon TC-80N3 extensively. It is simple, cheap and reliable, plus it works as a remote shutter release. But I prefer Magic Lantern by a longshot now for timelapse.
