I have about 85 stills (did a lapse the other day)
Now I need to find out the most efficient way to add them to the timeline
without having to go and double click all of them so that they fit my 3 or 4 sec
time.

Basically how can I set all the stills so they all last 2 secs (or however long) without having to do all manually.

In one of your Preference pannels there is a setting for importing stills to.... default is 10 seconds you can change to what ever you want.

OR...

Set an in/out on the timeline and drag all the photos onto the OVERWRITE overlay on the canvas window.

OR... drag them all into a timeline of it's own and then select all and right click... DURATION set to 2 seconds.
