Would a timelapse that has motion (like done in this video https://vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks/59338758) probably done with the Ken Burns effect? or with a slider? Would the Ken burns effect successfully accomplish this?
The bigger moves (like the tilt down at the beginning) were probably done with a motion control head like the ones from Kessler. The more subtle moves could be done in post.
I've done some basic timelapse videos, and have keyframed zooming in post. It looks like they did that in most of the shots. The great thing is, if you're shooting high-res photos, you can really get a lot of perceived movement and still retain 1080 resolution. I've used the GoPro Hero 3, shooting 4K stills - so it gives me quite a bit of room to play.
