Because I don't have the DVX100A http://www.DVXuser.com/YaBBImages/cry.gif, I need to shoot most of my timelapses at real time, often using up a whole tape, then speeding it up in FCP. This is nice as I get to control the speed of the timelapse while also shooting in 24p, but sometimes it seems redundant when the timelapse is very slow and the 24p isn't all important. Forgive my mathematical inadequacies, but what is the cut off in terms of speeding up real time shots in FCP being no different than using the real time of .5 rec time at 30 sec. interval time?
