i need to burn TC on the video of a short film i edited(24pNormal) on the 24p preset, so audio guys can sync up and do what they do in their environment. how would i do this?

i can do it in after effects, but would i have to set the TC for 24fps or 29.97?(when i try to interpret the footage as 24p, the audio loses sync. so i guess it comes out of premiere at 30fps???)

what would i do? am i exporting out of premiere pro wrong?

Re: TimeCode superimpose

Hey John

Are you sure the audio guys need burnt in code for their session ?
We stopped using that system years ago because the audio suites developed better control from their software eg ProTools. Previously the t/code was used to control separate ( double head) machines. eg a VCR and a Audio machine running sep but in synch.

If I gave our suites time code they would not know what to do with it these days.

well, i don't know exaclty their setup, but they use protools on a crummy G3. last semester, all the audio dudes asked for quicktimes with visual TC. all the audio equipment at school is pretty old, but new at the same time...or something. but, yeah that's what they want from me in order for scores, foley, and the like.
