timecode: really need answer, pls!!

How do I capture a shot on a tape from an older project and use it in a newer project, without a problem from duplicate timecodes? (Sorry, posted in Technical forum, but no answer there. ) :'(

Not too sure what the question is? You're using a different tape, right? Is the capture still on your HD?

I'm sorry, just not getting it this AM I guess.
