Timecode question w/ FCE Capture

Hi, I am running into a problem when trying to capture with FCE. It gives me an error telling me that it cannot import the footage due to wrong timecodes, missmatch type of thing. Is there anyway I can just skip this process and still import with FCE? My other option was capturing with iMovie but I am pretty sure the quality suffers if I do. Thanks in advance....
 
What sort of footage- FCE cannot be used on 24p or DVCPROHD for example. You need Final Cut Pro for that.

Just standard shot with a DVX100a. Nothing fancy. I am pretty sure I need to clean the camera's heads but I thought I would see if its the import process giving me trouble.
