Timecode issues

I've started a project in Premiere Pro. I've captured footage in Premiere and have now transfered the footage into FCP from an external drive via firewire 800. When I import the footage into FCP I lose the timecode on the clips. They all start at 00:00:00:00.

What am I doing wrong? The footage has proper matched timecode in Premiere, but it is lost in FCP.

I used a Sony GV-D1000 to capture the footage. I'd love to capture directly into FCP but it won't accept the Sony deck for cature.

Any suggestions? Is there something I'm missing here.
 
Is the 00:00:00:00 timecode what the timeline is displaying or what the clip displays? I've had this issues before, until I realized that I was making reference with the timeline's timecode and not the original timecode from the clip.
