Time travel?

MAH that was brilliantly funny.

Hey about the JT thing... the logic issues are insurmountable... on one hand they define the travel as missions... i.e. government assignments... and then they say he chose when to go. The other thing is that the guy refuses any verifiable information? WTF? He was insulted that people didn't want to ask him about religion and philosophy? Well that is simply retarded. As if he wouldn't VOLUNTEER any "new light" on the matter, as opposed to sitting silently aggravated with new info... especially considering that those two interleaved subjects have roots that are roughly 10,000 years old... so in 34 years that all changes to finite answers, and not opinions? (Not to mention the fact that he won't give any solid answers to prove anything because that will alter the course... but uh, some shockingly new revelations on religion wouldn't? Pff...)

The Small Multiple guys should love this whole story... they should have started this thread months ago... because the dumbest point is that this guy is sent on missions that are partially tailored to his own interests, and that you can't go back to the universe you left anyway... so the guys sending him back in time know that it won't change anything for them... so what's the point? Let's create some other reality that we'll never be able to verify or experience? The entire process only serves the interests of the guy actually GOING... alla, the small multiple. So after the guy goes back and fixes things so that he can step into an improved reality... ALL the scientists and everybody living in that previous one just becomes alcoholics and lives out their days jealous that they didn't put more seats in the thing. Dumb.

I think that somebody may have said in the small multiple thread that how does the guy know he didn't just kill his wife? There's no way to verify anything other then to trust your math... and I'd find it hard to believe that the whole system would be created for sake of an entire universe of people you could never meet (verify the existence of)... and for that matter... so what of his "return"... of which he already says isn't possible? So you're in a new universe on each return... but it's just SLIGHTLY different? So that everybody still knows you and maintains the same motives, etc.? Yeah... stupid.
