Time to try again...

no longer drink beer that is.

first thing anyone has to cut out is soda, especially a regular soda, with like 30g of sugar per serving, yikes!

i replaced the beer with like 10 bottles of water a day!

never drank liqour to begin with.

Workout and cut down on the carbs. Don't go no carbs, but just cutdown on your intake. Cut out the sugars, get your proteins, and gets lots of cardio. I just started working out again in the past four weeks. Your confidence goes up, and it helps your work ethic too. And the ladies definitely notice.

To lose weight, it really depends on your body type first of all. There are three - ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph. The first of the three, is people with really high metabolisms and they're usually really skinny and small. The downside to this body type is that its much harder to gain muscle. The second is the best of both worlds - easy enough to lose weight and easy enough to gain muscle. Those of you who are privileged enough to have this body type, kudos to you.

Then there's endomorphs which can be arguably the worst body type. Its extremely hard to lose weight, but you gain muscle really fast. These people typically find that they have to work much harder to lose fat. I'm one of them and I worked out and gained muscle with a fair amount of ease, but when it came to dieting and losing weight - it was harder. Its still possible and feels great when you do, but in order to lose fat - you gotta do cardio. I hate it myself, but cardio is key like Charli said. Some might say bulk and gain muscle as you have this extra fat to work with, but really you feel a lot better when you slim down as opposed to getting bigger. Then when you lose the weight, you know you have the dedication to keep hitting the gym, so you can weight train at this time if you choose to. Good luck to ya Brandon!

Location shows are the way to go. On Lost I bicycled to and from work, sixteen miles every day, and ate pretty much nothing but fish. Came back to LA twenty pounds lighter and ten shades darker...

My 10 minute a day (or every other day at first) jump start:

Look at a clock and when the clock hits an even number (eg. 4:20) do 10 pushups, 10 sit ups, 10 deep knee bends. do this for 5 sets on the even numbers, ie: 4:20, 4:22, 4:24.... only resting between the time you finish and when the clock hits the next even number (if you cant do 10, do a number you can, you will improve quickly) Raise the reps as you can handle it, but make sure you can make through the 5 sets. When you are up to 25 reps of pushups, situps and deep knee bends (5 sets) you will be in decent shape.

add a Brisk walk, bike ride or light run in the evenings. cut out potatoes entirely, no bread after lunch and brown rice only occasionally for dinner.

This will get you hard and lean pretty quickly. Get a check up before you start any exercise regimen.

My tip - do something that you enjoy! I hate running, swimming, stationary cycling, etc. It's just boring 'work.' So, instead, I do things that I LOVE to do like mt bike, play racquetball, tennis, basketball, lift weights, etc. This is just me, but if I'm active enough, I don't have to worry too much about what I eat.

My sis-n-law got herself a personal trainer at a local gym, and that's working out GREAT for her. If you can't motivate yourself to get in shape, then pay someone else to motivate you!

Well Brandon, as a failed natural bodybuilder I can probably help you if you're interested. And you can help me - I tore the tendon in my wrist about 13 months ago training for my first BB comp and haven't been able to lift weights since (hence the "failed" bodybuilder bit - I've now lost all 20lbs of muscle that I gained training for it). Being somewhat of a cripple I'm always on the lookout for people whose workouts I can live through vicariously!

Feel free to PM me if you have any particular questions about diet or exercise. And in the mean time DO NOT DO CHEAT CURLS.

What crap.

Take a DVX - 100..200.. whatever you got.

Attach a $14 Steadicam rig

Hang 30lb on the bottom end

Go to Venice Beach boardwalk. Bring lots of tape & batteries

Do stunts with steadicam - pumps, curls, twists, twirls, pans etc. Show us some new moves. Concentrate on your form.

Do 8 20min rotations - change tapes each rotation. Work up from there.

Post all footage here for critique.
