I need some help, ive fooled around with it alot, and just cant figure it out

If anyone could explain how to make it so a clip is regular speed then fades into a slow down then fades back up to normal speed. And how do i do the audio the same.

Thanks

Expand the TimeRemap for the clip. (Under Motion Tab)
For starters leave it set for constant and type in 200% for speed and see how the slope and wide of the curve changes. Note the 200% velocity in the bottom.
Now set it to 50% speed and see what happens.
The line acts like a lookup table or curve in Photoshop.
Imagine it's like a chart. On the horizontal are the frames that will be output. So for frame 10 output it looks to where the line is and what the numbers are vertically. At 200% frame 10 out (horizontal) will equal frame 20 on the vertical.

Now set it back to 75% or so if you want to slow down. Set to variable speed.
It will now create a curve. Click and move those dots at the end of the sticks at each end of the curve. This will change the slope or speed of the clip at different points.
Normally it starts slow, speeds up and then slows down by deault. In your case make the curve the opposite of what you see. Rather than starting level try moving the stick veritcal. Step through the frames to see the velocity. Experiment to see how it works.
