What am I doing wrong? I know how to use the time remap tool but the end result doesnt really look the way I want it to look. I am trying to do those cool edits like you see on the show SURVIVOR and many other shows and movies. The shot starts off normal speed, speeds up and then slows back to normal speed. I know its called speed ramps and all. I have my speed indicators visible in the timeline. The first half of the clip the indicators are normal. The middle part, I need them all bunched up to speed the clip up in a forward motion. The end part of the clip I need the indicators back to the normal setting.
Does this require me to use the razor blade tool and cut the clip into 3 parts?
Well that is what I did as a second resort. I wasn't able to make the speed ticks in the middle clip all bunched up. Some were bunched but then I saw some red ticks which means its going in reverse! I don't really want it to go in reverse however after I played it back it didn't look that bad. The first part of the clip was fine, the middle part had the speed ramp forward but then it went into reverse at the same speed then back to normal speed for the last part of the clip. Now how can I accomplish that without it going in reverse!
I just want to know how I can get it to look smooth just like on "SURVIVOR"
