I was looking at the special features on the 2 disc version of the Two Towers, and I noticed that they were a bit different from the one in the extended edition. So I pop in the disk only to find out that they are ENTIRELY different. None of those supplements are on the extended edition.

What the hell!? I payed and waited for the extended's, only to find out that they aren't comprehensive. Now true, the appendecies are much better, but there is some great stuff missing from them. Like Sean Astin's film; that's not even mentioned anywhere in the extended editions.

how are you even mad about this?

This has been very very public knowledge for years... i can't say I sympathsize..

the specials features on all of the 2-disc sets suck in comparison to the EE Discs..

honestly man.... not even comparable... the 2-Discs are like HBO making of crap... the extended discs are actually well produced docs...

a bit different is an understatement.. they are totally different for a reason.. people have more incentive to buy the EE cuts becuase they are also getting completely new bonus material.

It's not really the Encore doc's and stuff that I'm bitter about. Mainly Sean Astin's film, and the making of his film. That's really cool, especially the making of.

Because on one of the days off he got a bunch of the cast and crew from the movie, borrowed some equiptment and went and shot the short.
