TIME CODE Reseting itself during Batch Capture. PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone,

I am encountering a very annoying problem.

When I set up several MiniDV tapes for batch capture, the time code resets itself on the captured media to 00:00:00;00, regardless of the actual timecode on the tape. This only happens when I set up more than one tape for batch capture and switch them out as FCP asks for the next tape.

When I set up a batch capture for only one tape the time code remains true to the timecode on the tape. This however makes the capture process longer than it needs to be.

If you have a solution please let me know! I really need to figure this out before I continue and edit.

Thank you!

Specifically, where are you seeing that zero'ed out TC in FCP? There's like half a dozen places to look at TC, most of which are not the actual TC of the clip. There's duration, start, stop, in, out, etc.

And once you drop a clip into a Sequence, it adopts the Sequence's TC and loses it's own.

I see it in the Bin, specifially the Media Start, it' reads 00:00:00;00. I trashed one of the files from the hard drive and tried to recapture it and it is looking for 00:00:00;00 on the tape even though it was not it's original location. This is a major problem if we want to go back to this project after the footage has been dumped of the hard drive.
