Tim League of the Alamo Drafthouse on dim projections

If you haven't been to Austin and gone to the Alamo Drafthouse theaters, you've missed a great movie going experience. I've gone from Sweden to Austin every December for the past four years for a movie marathon event at one of them, and all I can say is I'm really impressed with the presentations every time.

Tim League, who owns the Alamo, has written a blog article about the dim presentations that's been talked about lately, and it's a really good read.
I've met Tim a couple of times and he's a really good guy and takes this sort of thing really seriously so I fully trust him to know what he's talking about.

I really do not agree with Tim that RealD gives the best 3D image. It gives a very, very good image considering that it uses cheapo plastic glasses, but there is always a small about of ghosting.

I've seen films in XPAND 3D as well as Dolby 3D, and both gave a cleaner 3D image. However, I did have quite a headache after seeing the Dolby 3D movie, though I'm not sure if that was the 3D or something else.
