Tiger OSX crashes when FCP is opened!!

i'm keeping this on here if anyone else has the problem but i figured it out.
Quit FCP
Go to you home Library and then to the Preferences folder.
Delete your FCP Plist file
Then in Library go to FCP users forder and delete FCP Pref. file and POA file...
Empty trash
Startup FCP
Ta-dah
Quit FCP
Go to you home Library and then to the Preferences folder.
Delete your FCP Plist file
Then in Library go to FCP users forder and delete FCP Pref. file and POA file...
Empty trash
Startup FCP
Ta-dah

hey, that is kind of my problem right now. when start up fcp 4.5 with the dvx attached, it says that it can't find an external source.
can you get ichat to work with your camera (dvx)? when i try ichat or quicktime pro 7, they say that the camera is in use by another application, which i can't figure out. the only app i can currently get to recognize my dvx is imovie. i just tried the camera on another powerbook with ichat in 10.3 and it worked just fine with the dvx.
i'll try your suggestion, but since ichat isn't working either, i'm afraid it won't do the trick in my case.
