I bought the tiffen haze 2a filter. $87
Waste of money. If I get sunlight from 45° or so, I get glare or flare i don't know what it is but bad. So don't buy. I bought it for protection for the lens. You better spend more money on the filter I think.
Bought a UV for my expensive Canon 70-200 L lens... one of the sharpest and contrastiest lenses they have... because the Tiffen was the cheapest.
Immediately the contrast of my pics went down... even a bright pavement will make the picture foggy... like someone breathed on the lens. I thought my lens went bad somehow.
I switched to a Hoya and my pics were back to their fantastic self.
You can't tell by just looking through the Tifffen filter.
The salesman took the Tiffen back. He said something about Hoya and BW having better multicoatings... hence they are more expensive.
I'd spend the extra bucks... no point getting an expensive camera like the hVx and then degrading the pic with a cheap filter.
