Tiffen filters for 35mm lens or 82mm (HVX)

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to get my hands on a used SGpro soon (anyone?), and I plan on using some Tiffen filters (Pro Mist series) for the blooming/highlight effect. I am wondering if these filters would find optimal use on the 35mm lens on the adapter, or the 82mm HVX200 lens that attaches to the adapter?

Any opinions at all would help! Thank you in advance!

put it in the front of the 35mm lens, but you will probably find the effect very strong unless you use very weak Pro mists. The 35mm adapter already has a bit of a pro mist look.

thanks lenilenapi for the tip. i came across the Tiffen DFX plugin for use with final cut pro. anyone have any luck with this? would the results from an actual physical lens prove to have more natural results?

i'm afraid that if i choose to get the filters, i'll end up with footage that is irreversible, whereas i can tweak the results with the plugin filter tools. nontheless, it's difficult for me to pull the trigger on either of these. thanks!

Edit: will move my thread to Post-Production
