I have a gitzo alumminum pole and have lost the little double-threaded piece that connects the shock mount to the pole. Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement?
thanks

You can usually find those sorts of things at larger music stores that carry mic stands and recording equipment. Is this a step-up adapter to connect a smaller male screw post on the boom into a larger diameter female socket on the mic mount? Just so you'll know what you're looking for - the large thread used on mic stands is 5/8 27 and the small thread usually found on boom poles is 3/8 16. A mount actually designed for boom pole use should just screw right on without an adapter being required.

Why not drop an email to Gitzo customer service and see if they'll just send you one?

Both excellent ideas Steve, thank you.

Both sides are threaded and are the same size, looks like 3/8". I'll check at Guitar Center and also with Gitzo.

Thanks again.
