Thoughts on Kona 3G vs. Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 3D?

Looking to replace an aging Blackmagic Decklink Pro with something capable of at least 2K (4K wouldn't be a bad thing for future-proofing, although at the moment we have no 4K monitor) and 3D via HDMI. These seem like the two best options from the two leading brands, but am I missing anything else? What would be your pick? Obviously the Aja comes in at about twice the price, offering twice the resolution – that wouldn't be a bad investment if it means not having to replace it in a year or two... but I'm open to other thoughts. Going to be using this primarily for monitoring, not so much for capture with we do basically 100% via solid state media.

I'm in the same situation but with a Aja Kona card. I need to work with Davinci Resolve and can't monitor with the Kona card so I decided to move to the DeckLink HD Extreme 3D. If it wasn't for that I would keep what I got because that LHe card is great.

The BMD is a good value for a HDMI, 2K and 3D IO card at around $945. Will work with everything I have and will have soon. Like CS6.

I was thinking about the 4K issue as well but I can't wait for it and even if I did will I need 4K output to a 4K monitor that I can't afford to buy? Plus to edit 4K I would probably need another expensive card as well. To much what ifs for me.
