Thought on my new website...

I like it alot. I like the look of stuff like that, like the Modest Mouse video for float on i belive.

youll need more buttons i believe. i dont think the flash should scale while dragging the corner to resize the page though.

Renders OK on the Mac but the quotation text is a little hard to read against the waves.

Some sites like this operate in a discovery mode where you don't know what options are available unless you hunt for the links, say clicking on the ship or fish might get you to a particular page. You're off to a good start.

for a professional site, i would recommend making navigation as simple as possible. don't make people hunt for links.

I agree with ugafan, but it's OK to put a few hidden links in there for folks to discover. Also, if it's for a business site be sure to add flash version detection and redirect to a static page if non-compliant.

I have to agree with J Michael, have a plain site/Flash site for thems with issues. The size wasn't too bad for me running 1024x768, but someone with 800x600 would be screwed- and there are people still running that rez. I also have to agree that the quotes blend in with the waves. Other than that, yeah man... it's cool to look at.

Fixed the size issue and you should be able to see the quotes a little more clearly now. Thanks again for the tips guys.
