that I thought was shot on DVX, or sometimes just looks like DVX ends up being what is possibly sdx900 or maybe even a high def.
tv shows like "it takes a thief"<- is that right?- seems to look like dvx but somehow it's more film-like than a dvx. I'm just going to not take the risk and guess that its not a DVX. Unless someone in here can confirm otherwise- or maybe it's been discussed before, I dunno.
but what bothers me is that, sometimes the dvx doesn't seem '24p' enough. It doesn't always look as good as it should. It always does nice under ideal environments but sometimes not. im not complaining- im just sharing my experiences. And I was watching a 24p footage on MTV that showed 50 CENT doing a house party?.. i dunno, and i said oh it's shot on a dvx! and they do use dvx.. i saw it. but the camera that was shooting the dvx cam guy wasn't on a dvx, it was a bigger cam when i finally saw the reverse angle. and i got disappointed that on tv it looked like dvx but it wasn't and when I saw the dvx angle, it didn't look as good.
a little disappointing to have thought that it was a dvx and then it wasn't. and I was doubtful about the other tv shows as well.
There is this italian cooking show on food tv. with this woman.. I forgot what it was called.. something italian and it looks horribly film-like. I'm thinking it's sdx-900. but it looks so much better than that 50 cent footage- which looked like dvx. could be the settings but I guess it all really depends on the set up of the content being shot.
