Anybody see this yet? Maybe it has something to do with the (long) rumored Apple Tablet...

As a video professional I find this really inspiring. Magazine are becoming online video magazines. This open up vast markets of not only publishing budgets, but ad budgets that go to print. The timing is interesting. I just got a call from a friend who is a successful print photographer whom has decided to utilize the HD capabilitie of his cameras to serve his clients. While initially I has a annoyed that he has seemingly jumping into my market, I have turned this into a positive though. One it is a train that is unstoppable. Two he needs my expertise on how to create videos, tell stories with moving pictures and sound (luckily this guy is smart enogh to know what he does, and does not know). He is very well connected. Much more so than I. He is looking to partner on a some upcomming shoots. And deliver video as well as stills. The way I am looking at that relationship, and after seeing this demo is that the way traditional print is going to survive (ie newspapers and magazines) is they are going to be delivered in this fashion. Which creates many more opportunities for those of us versed in video production. Shooters, editors, graphics folks. It really looks like an opportunity. And believe me the rosey coloured glasses are not on my face very often.
