THIS is why we go to movies!

There is nothing like seeing a film in the theatre... it is big, loud, intense...

I saw a film tonight in the theatre... doesn't matter what one it was... but as I walked out, a question struck me... why do I love movies so much? What is it about them? And I realized something...

I am a big thrill ride fan... love em'... but the feeling of thrill only lasts for so long... when I go see a good film... that feeling lasts for a long time! Be it danger, suspense, tension, joy, what have you... seeing a GOOD movie is like the best thrill ride I could ever go on! This is why I love seeing movies, and making movies! Come to think of it I too love thrill rides. But I think it's more then that, they take you out of who you are and for that hour and a half or two hours (longer is better) you forget about everything except what is going on in the film. You imagine these people and events they become real.
As a film maker I like that I like telling a story that will become real to people, I like having control over every detail to give people the best experience they can get from a film.
