This is why historical movies don't make the Big Money.

Because people don't realize that things actually happened before Twitter and Facebook and YouTube were there to tell them about it.

smh..........seriously. Don't tell them about the Hindenberg............they probably still think it was one of Bay's student films.

i call b.s.

if the titanic was real, how was all that footage not damaged after being underwater so long? and why is it in color instead of black and white?

You are SOOOOOOO going to the hot, bad place. And no....not Phoenix. LOL!

I watched a doc on tv 2 nights ago called "Saving the Titanic" I believe. I was riveted. And to note, I have not seen the feature nor do I have a desire to.

I wonder how many people think Avatar was a true story...

well, for lack of anything else meaningful to post, my nephews have never heard of the Beatles and can't even say who sang 'Let it be' when they've hear it.

Yeah, I think avatar is in Africa or something. China? I forget now.

Ohhhhh, Canada. There ya go. Blue people. It's cold up here.

Oh yeah. Guilty of highjacking a thread with intent to get off topic.
30 days in dvx rehab for me.

If anything, it's worth watching just for the production value alone. For the year it was made, the CGI is amazing. Not to mention the shear size of the sets created to make this film.

Hmm, I smell something fishy. I mean I learnt about Titanic in school at a young age (and had heard about it before that, before there was a movie), so why wouldn't the next generation? I smell fake.

Then again, not everyone has the best education:

sometimes I wish we still lived in the age where the dumb people were illiterate. Then they at least couldn't post things that showed how dumb they were. :)

The dumb people? Really? Are you still that young? Let's try and refrain from that in the future Ryan.

I've heard a lot of good things about it. Okay, you sold me. Yes, I should watch it. Thank you.
.

perhaps the joke was bad or there waas a miscommunication. I was commenting about the people who where tweeting about realizing the titanic was a real event. Don't think to far into the joke. I know many people back then were kept from literacy. The joke was simply a joke. I don't understand your response so I'm going to declare miscommunication.
