Hey, I am sure for many of you this may be old news, but I thought I'd share with you a cool book I just finished (reading, not writing
).
It's 'The Long Tail', and talks, among other things, about the future of media in the economy of abundance (as opposed to economy of scarcity, which brought the Top 40 hit lists, and the blockbuster movies). This site is an example of a Long Tail, with all its niches, connecting people of diverse, and yet common, interests, in different time zones across continents.
What's in it for us? There has never been a better time to make movies.
