I picked up a portable Jands 4pak stage dimmer off eBay for $130, works brilliantly.
Has a 2400w total load capacity so I can a run a troop of 3 X 800w lights off of it and get the levels I want.
Those in the U.S can easily access the 120v Harbor City speed controllers cheaply, but this is the only solution I could find for countries running 240v.
Plus it's handy having all the channels on the one panel, makes for some fun lighting effects anyway.
