This is frustrating

Im going crazy, my After Effects 7.0 is tripping out badly, Ive used it for about 3 weeks now and its been fine, I tried opening my previous projects today and it told me files were missing, so I checked the links, they were all there, still I relinked them and it was still tripping, I restarted, same problem, I reinstalled same thing, I dont know whats going on, it wont import new clips as well, I made a new composition but I couldnt import any avi's, it lets me import wmv's. but no avi's. help, Ive got to finish rendering scenes out, the project is due on tue, the client isnt going to be happy. HELP...
 
Try resetting prefs. Hold alt ctrl shift while program is restarting then tell it to delete prefs. Sometimes reinstalling won't change this.

Has is your media storage setup?
