Well, I was one of the lucky people who didn't have to give up a whole lot to get into film making. I guess I didn't so much give up anything, as I did gain a job. Which I guess could be considered giving up my free time. So I got a job the summer after my sophomore year in high school and worked full time for that summer, and during the school year I worked every weekend. It came to about May of my junior year and I finally had enough money for the camera, so I bought it. It felt good not having anyone else help me buy it, and I deffinetly do appreciate the camera waaaaay more. I still have the same job, which I also use to fund my other enthusiasm, which is mountain biking. Not to mention it also helps pay for my tape stock and other accessories, like the tripod I hope to buy soon.....
