These type of film makers give the rest a bad name

:) I'm laughing at the others who read this thread and wonder WTF happened in the last page when it became hijacked beyond all recognition.

Maybe we should change the title. :)

Had he listened to Rob and Russ not HAD it... or even not PLAYED it... he may very well have been out anyway. That's my point against the "didn't outwit" statement. There's no evidence that Rob even considered this.
LOL! Maybe we should change the title. :)

Yes, but Russ did have it (as everyone knew) and Rob covered all his bases by targeting both Russ and Pavarti. Rob said that Russ might even hand it to Pavarti to save her, which is exactly what happened and why Rob wanted to split the votes between them. He saw it coming and planned for it.

Doesn't matter really, had Tyson listened to Rob he would still be here. Now he's gone.

I like Russ, but he was really lucky last night. Tyson made a really stupid move and has once again been blindsided. He's not too bright.

:) See? I'm smiling... I am NOT arguing! All I'm saying is that if Russ had NOT played it... and everybody followed Rob's instructions exactly... then NEITHER Russ, NOR Parv... would have gone home... somebody else would have.

The 6-group would be putting FIVE into the "risk group"... and the 3-group would only be putting ONE into the "risk group"... so... even if Russ had NOT talked to T... didn't PLAY the idol... and everybody DID follow Rob's instructions. Russ STILL has 5 to 1 odds that HIS 3-group would make it through fine... and 100% odds that HE and PARV make it through fine.

Tyson's "stupidity" is ONLY "stupid" AFTER the fact... and ONLY because Russell won on a bluff-leveraged gamble. Is bluffing NOT outwitting?

If it had gone down like that... that Russ held on to the idol... then we'd be debating whether or not it was smart of Rob to split the votes evenly... and if Russ had done that... and Tyson STILL did what he did... we'd all be saying how smart he was for protecting himself... sending P home... and protecting the rest of his 6-group... from those stone-pulling odds of 5 to 1 against.

Russell wasn't the only one gambling.

To sum it up with "doesn't matter because if he had listened he would still be there" is hindsight, because it WOULD have mattered if Russell held on to it... KNOWING that he's still force somebody else home... and that would have been no less a gamble then the one he made.

What I'm saying is that Rob DIDN'T cover all his bases... Russ had another brilliant option... to FORCE 5 to 1 odds AGAINST the other group... and save himself AND Parv... ALL WHILE SAVING immunity for a later date. That would have been a more interesting move, but the risk is that after the first vote of TIE... the 6-group would be smart enough to see what was coming... and then it's anybody's guess how to create an unbalanced vote... and you're back to the original bet/risk about immunity... so we're back to the SMARTEST move being one of trying to create leverage, through a bluff... then pushing your chips all in on one hand.

I agree with you, Matt. No worries.

All I'm saying is that had Tyson NOT been a bonehead and listened to Rob he would still be alive and kicking. Yes, hindsight is 20/20 and all but Rob was so aggressive towards Russ, telling him that he knew he had the immunity idol and that he better play it. Rob KNEW he would play it in some form or another and he was right!
That was done without any foresight.

Russ' move was risky but it paid off due to one stupid individual (Tyson) not listening to a smarter one (Rob).

Either way, Russ better get some people swinging to his side or he's toast. Maybe Coach will jump ship.

EDIT: Matt, just to add.... I guess what I'm saying is that Russ didn't outwit Rob, just Tyson.
The one person who filpped (Tyson) wound up going home. Rob knew all along how it was going to play out but he can't control everything.

These aren't filmmakers for starters

I Repo'd for a couple years back in the day and it isn't this eventful. I have a handful of stories, but mostly it is quiet.
