There's No Business Like Show Business

Boy Howdy! Here come the Oscars!

I can't wait to see how dignified and glamorous this years awards will be. Everyone that is any one will be sure to slowly parade along the red carpet. High fashion dress, coiffed to perfection. Then, once inside, we can expect a new level of honor. After all, the Best Picture candidates are all now qualified to the new requirements. I feel better about myself watching the awards knowing......well, the Academy has turned itself around.

And what about the show? Hey, keep those recorders rolling. Maybe there will be another one of those heart-warming moments when an under-represented Black man (net worth $360 million) hits another under-represented Black man (net worth $60 million) and then to top it off, remain in the building and take the top actor prize. Boy, you can get more classy than that.

How about some diversity? How about a woman assaulting another woman? Why is it the men always get the good parts? Huh? That really gets in my craw.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it with the new rules and hopefully, some bigger and better fisticuffs to help with the ratings.

People need to stay away from fedoras, tattoo parlors, piercing parlors, hair dyes, designer clothing websites, liberal media, albums of alternative rock involving New Yorkers with mid-western voices, tofu, and ebay listings of 1930s bicycles.

Think about it critically...you presumably don't like all of those things but what if some of those people or other people had something to say after seeing a video of you putting a sock on your hand and making voices for the sock characters that talk to each other?

We all have our things and having close-minded qualities in show business won't get you very far (unless you keep it to yourself or you're of course an executive with ulterior motives).

It could be anything you like, I just saw that (and you're of course not the first to do it).

Do you know who Andy Milonakis is? He had a show on MTV for a few years like 20 years ago, you might like it.

NorBro, I know it may not seem like it considering the technical tonality and the attitude of an angsty early teenager, but I was kind of just messing around trying to get a laugh out of things.
