It's 12:46AM in my timezone, which is late for me to up and poking about the internet.

I just did a quick check of who is online right now, and it is many recognised posters:

vitaly, scharky, LucasPorter, Woodson, John Hudson, red_wedge, Genesis, strancali, Cheesesailer77, insomniac, disjecta, and Story-Of-Yesterday are all accounts I recognise.

Sad, but true. :)

I wonder if we could organize a DVXUSER convention somewhere, just so I can have some beers with you folks, and attach a face to the names?

;D Being 12 hours ahead of DVXuser means 12 more hours to work on DVXfest contest entries. ;) Oh, and because of the Buddhist calendar, it's the year 2548. (Note: I still write 2547 on checks.) Talk about a different timezone. "Please set your clocks forward 543 years!!!"

I've had a long-time affinity for the idea of buddism and in my stumbles I was surprised to learn that different flavors of buddism conversely allow and discourage the consumption of meat. Since you implied buddism, I was wondering which you might be if either.

Don't let the avatar fool ya. PK aint no Buddhist... He has been on the run from Interpol for years now. Thailand is just his current local.

Dakota - You promised! Ok, I guess it's time for me to move onto a new country and new forum. Hey, does anybody remember the url for Danny Boy's DVuserX forum?

J_Barnes - Buddhism is fascinating. What's even more fascinating is seeing young monks talking on cell phones, buying CDs, haivng girlfriends, etc. They're not suppose to have any possessions or girlfriends. Basically, what you own eventually owns you. But I learned that all Thai men are suppose to be monks for a few weeks. You can definitely tell the "temporary monks" from the "permanent ones". My avatar has a DVX100, so he would be considered a cool temporary monk. ;D

I'm sorry for posting it.  (I understand if you delete this Barry  ;))
But its just funny because he is the only member and he has 2 links to this site and the only posts have been by him.  He changed it back to DVuser though...
