The unthinkable

Well it happened. My beloved DVX fell over. Man I wanted to cry, but this workhorse is ok! It was a tight audio cord issue which pulled it over. But, one thing that did happen was my mic holder broke, and I'm grateful that was all. Does anyone know where to buy a replacement? Thanks, and take it from me, always keep an eye on that baby!

sorry to hear about your cam mine has taking the plunge aswell so i feel your pain. go to spec-com.com they sell them for 20 bucks.

that site is weird..i'm looking for the same part. can't find it.

Thanks man! Glad you like it! I used the three way cc on FCP, I'm going to be shooting another movie in like a month, you wouldn't happen to know of any abandoned houses in the woods would you? I figured since you live in NJ...

I wish I knew, I'd be doing a zombie flick! I actually live in NY...
Seems like you have the 3way cc down pretty good.

Its spec-comm.com, if you only use one m its one of those typo-squatter domain holder pages.

They got in touch with me, it comes in 2 parts, one is 25.70 and the other is 56.24, & you need both. They told me that was panasonics going price. Its crazy glue for now, lol!

Which mic holder?

Which mic holder?

Are you talking about the external mic holder that comes with the camera or the internal microphone that's built into the camera? (the tip of the handle)

If it's the one that screws on as an accessory PM me your address and I'll send you mine next week.

I've never used it or attached it and I'm going on 4 years so I don't think I'll ever be using it.

Glad the cam still works! That's a bad feeling to see/hear your camera go down.

Man, I did the same thing. I was DPing a shoot, got everything setup for the first scene, and tipped over the DVX while on the tripod because my headphones were plugged in. The DVX booted up and gave an error.

Meh.

The rental house had a replacement on site within 20 minutes, but still, I felt like a big ass.

Yeah the film looks pretty sick man. I used to go to a pretty freaky abandoned house out here on Long Island. most of it has been burned down but whats left is still a good location, but its probably too far for you and theres alot of cops to break your balls around there otherwise I would love to film there.
