oh... last one. does the senn mkh 416T require a peripheral piece of equipment? i remember reading somewhere that the T designates that is uses some kind of booster... but i can't remember where i saw this.
T means T-power, an older 12 volt system. Some mixers will provide T-power, but otherwise you will need a 12t-48 adapter (assuming you have 48v phantom power, such as the dvx provides). You can get an adaptor from trew audio for $40.
