A 15-episode educational docuseries on the history and journey of cinema. Currently available on Netflix Instant: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/The_Story_of_Film_An_Odyssey/70261400
Trailer:
I'm about halfway through, and I'm really enjoying it. The narrator's voice is a bit uncommon (for a narrator), but after midway through the first episode I didn't even notice anymore as the content was so interesting. I've heard this referred to as a "crash" version of film history & appreciation courses, and I can understand why, but it's more engaging than that imo.
