Okay finaly the Sport Of Death is up and running. If you watched it before and it was Zombie Suicide then you havent seen the Sport of Death. You may need to refresh your browser. So please if it was a .WMV file then it wasnt ours. But I refreshed my browser and it is working now. Sorry about all the confusion. I hope you get a kick out of it. Once again if it said Zombie Suicide then it wasnt the right film. Thanks.

I'm going to download it, I hope this mess does not change your chances of winning somehing, man, I felt really bad for you(especially because, quite frankly, zombie suicide is so bad...). Good luck!

Thanks Taubkin, I guess thats just the way the dice roll sometimes. I hope that everybody takes a chance to download it and check it out now that its fixed.

I was totally diggin this at first glance. It is well shot (If not Gained up; not the crushing blacks I prefer) but I was enjoying this at first. Anytime you have a cute girl, in an alley with Zombies you gotta dig it.

But then the whole SHOE thing and it complety blew up in my face. I just did not get this at all. Why a bubble thought? Why a shoe? IS this a commeriall? I dont know. I just was taken out of the fun when the shoe thing came on.

I loved the 2.35 Aspect ratio but it lookds more framed for 1.85 IMO

haha, I liked it.

But John is right, the Bubble though makes the audience kind of revolt...

History wise - I'd trade the bubble thought for a shot of the zombie finding a pair of shoes in the trash or something like it. I'd also show their feet, barefoot, as they advanced toward the white car in the first sequence, not once but at least twice.

Technical - Since there were two shots in it color corrected and the rest bland, so I think there is more to cinematography than you showed. If not, I'd really want to see some punchier look, it would have flattered the zombies too... Love the time compressing and the tension in the beggining, it really worked. The humourous deliver also worked pretty well, and I kept thinking why the hell this was called sport of death...

But very creative, and well done, at least the first 4 minutes!

Cheers!

Hey
I saw this one earlier but it was called "New Shoes". Your partner "politely" let me know he didnt approve of my other post on your movie when in fact I was posting about the zombie suicide movie. I thought he would have realized that given the mistake that was made with the website. Anyway, I liked this one and I thought it was good. It was another one of the movies that led up to a punchline and I was thinking about using this joke initially because my friend showed me one of Romeros movies and the zombies were all real slow and people were just running by them because they knew they wouldnt catch them. That to me didnt convey fear. I wanted zombies to run and be scary, but that was going against the genre I was told. I like how you guys made a joke out of it. Clever stuff and well shot.

Hey, hector, don't be fooled, Zombies may not run but they always manage to catch hasty humans, especially hot brunettes such as the one in this film!

-Yeah, running Zombies Suck!

I really liked this one up to the point that the zombie thought bubbles appeared, then you lost me. I would have liked to see the humorous situation of the actress in the car play out a bit more. I liked the 2.35 frame, the tilt up on the cars arrival at the beginning looked really good. The zombie makeup was also good, but the jump in the story line was just a little to big to not take me completely out of the moment. It was a WTF just happend sort of moment, at that point you lost me.

A good film with a good look, but a bit of a strange approach.

Similar to "Sole Survivor", this did play out like a commercial. I am not even referring to the obvious "new shoes" pay off either...the "advertisement" vibe was present even early on.

That being said, it was well shot...
It's just that I would have wanted to see something from you with a narrative.

Okay, I'm STILL confused between which is which with this & NEW SHOES. Either way, here are my comments about the film that had a girl drive up with zombies in the alley:

I had rated this a little higher than average ... possibly out of frustration of not knowing what film was what with no titles in the film or the file name. Who knows. Anyway, I thought it had fair production value, but some great make up, FX and SFX. Fairly entertaining as well.

I liked this one. The idea was pretty funny, I thought. whent the zombie waves back at her when shes on her cell phone: LOL!!! The makeup was good, framing was good, sound fx were good and music was good. The ending was kinda weak. But overall it is better than alot of the films....good job.

This one was interesting. Points for hot chick in lead role.

I didn't think, having said she was a hot chick, she would get out of her car in that area for anything!!!! I wouldn't!!!

But the whole run back to the car, put on the make up, cell phone call sequence was awesome. Funny and unexpected. Really liked it.

Nice camera work.

Great job!

Robert

I mean that in a good way.......there was just too much confusion with all this zombie stuff for me..........
